| All medicines will be approved by a Nurse and/or APRN before accepted in the front office. Only unopened over the counter medication will be accepted. Prescriptions brought in will be checked by the Nurse or APRN before given to the inmate. All prescriptions must be in their proper container, with proper date on bottles and the proper county, if not they will be refused. |
- If the medication is not approved by the Nurse or APRN, the medicine will be stored here until that individual is released.
- If the inmate does not receive the medication upon release, he/she has 30 days to pick-up their medicine from the front office.
- Medication may be picked up Monday - Friday from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm only.
- If medication is not picked up within 30 days from release, it will be destroyed.
